February 27, 2019 - Wednesday - I had a photo of my breakfast smoothie we had at work today, but then I had pho for an early dinner with Riley. The light shining across the bowl made this photo way better than the photo of the smoothie. The smoothie was really good though.

February 26, 2019 - Tuesday - Today at work my friend made an obscure reference to this movie. We talked about it for a while. I'm not a huge fan of Mel Brook's movies but this is a really funny one. Just thinking about any bit of it at all and the Inquisition song starts playing in my head. "It's good to be the King."

February 25, 2019 - Monday - I don't do selfies for my photo of the day very often but after taking photos of the dogs a few times over the last several days I tried to get a photo of the both of them sleeping on my lap but they woke up.

February 24, 2019 - Sunday - I slept in a little this morning and then made a big bowl of apple cinnamon oatmeal for a late breakfast. I bought apples a while back that were the size of softballs. I diced up what I needed for my oatmeal and cut the rest into small chunks and shared with Biscuit and Pancake.

February 23, 2019 - Saturday - One of the guys I work with is also one of my really good friends. He was grilling some picanha and having a few friends over. I made my required guacamole. It was a good time hanging out with old friends and make some new ones too.

February 22, 2019 - Friday - Today for the first time one of the servers at the pho place we go to a lot walked over and said, "The usual?" then repeated our normal order. My friend changes it up every once in a while, but I can never pass up the Chicken Noodle Pho with extra limes.

February 21, 2019 - Thursday - Got out for lunch with some of the people from work. We went to Pie Tap. Their pizza is pretty good but the salad was my favorite part. The company wasn't too bad either.

February 20, 2019 - Wednesday - I got stuff to make this chicken and mushroom dish a few days ago and I'm finally getting around to making it tonight. I am still out of practice. Everything I've made the last few times I've cooked has been off a bit. Not bad, but just not at good as I've done in the past. Practice, practice, practice.

February 19, 2019 - Tuesday - I had to run an errand out near the airport and fortunately it worked out that I could also visit a friend out that way. She recently rescued a cat with a broken toe. She's really friendly and playful. The cat I mean. My friend is friendly too.

February 18, 2019 - Monday - I had lunch with a good friend today, then drove out to dad's to do a bit of IT work. One of my aunts was there so I got to see her too. My sister and I drove out to The Country Store and picked up some whoopie pies. Score! Spent the rest of the evening relaxing next to a big fire talking with dad.

February 17, 2019 - Sunday - I had lunch plans today, but they got canceled at the last minute. I was a bit glad since I was starting to feel like a lazy day at home would be a great idea. Turns out I was right. Pancake and I spent a good part of the afternoon like this.

February 16, 2019 - Saturday - First missed photo since November of 2017. It was a good run.

February 15, 2019 - Friday - Feels like it's been a long week. Got home, had dinner and spent the evening with Biscuit and Pancake watching Game of Thrones. I'm trying to get through the whole thing in time for the final season to start.

February 14, 2019 - Thursday - Found these on my desk this morning. We used to work together a little over a year ago and I'm so happy to be working with her again. Not only does she bring in treats, but she's also started making healthy smoothies for the office everyday. Even more important than all that, she's really silly funny.

February 13, 2019 - Wednesday - I picked these up the other day while I was out at lunch. I'm finding it very difficult to not snack endlessly on these all day until they are all gone. But then again, if I did they would be gone and I would then stop snacking. I think I have found my solution.

February 12, 2019 - Tuesday - I picked up stuff at the grocery store the other day to make a frittata. Riley doesn't like tomatoes and thinks she can order this like it's a pizza with tomatoes on half. The bell pepper was too big so it had a bit too much of those and I cut too many tomatoes for half but it was still really good.

February 11, 2019 - Monday - Went to lunch with my friend at work. Yes we had pho again. For those of you keeping count, I've had pho 13 times so far this year. We got caught at the train on the way back to the office but I didn't mind sitting there in the car with a belly full of pho.

February 10, 2019 - Sunday - For Christmas I got Riley and I tickets to the Cirque du Soleil show at Lone Star Park. We both really enjoy these shows and this one was no different. I had the day off and fortunately she didn't have to work so we had plenty of time to get here early but we didn't. And yes we both got each other the same thing for Christmas this year.

February 9, 2019 - Saturday - This evening I drove out to North Ft. Worth to help surprise one of my best friends from high school. He recently turned 50 like a lot of us are this year. My turn won't come for a little while yet. It was good to see a lot of old friends from school, not to mention the look on his face.

February 8, 2019 - Friday - I didn't feel much like cooking this evening and put a couple of these in the oven for dinner. I missed the State Fair this year. I'm approaching the 3,000th photo in this Photo of the Day collection. I should hit it in the middle of March, hopefully doing something fun that day.

February 7, 2019 - Thursday - I went to meet a friend for dinner after work. We still meet almost once a week but my moving farther south means that we have to find a new set of places to meet. We tried meeting at one of our usual places today but it took a little over an hour to get here. There was beautiful sky and a sliver of a moon out when I got parked.

February 6, 2019 - Wednesday - One of the things Riley picked up yesterday was a new coffee mug. I was doing my routine in the kitchen and thought it looked nice in the morning light. That's one of my Christmas presents in the background.

February 5, 2019 - Tuesday - It's unfortunate that sometimes you get together with lots of family because of the passing of someone.  Today was one of those days. It was nice to come home and get to spend the evening with Riley doing some shopping for regular home stuff and then getting dinner. It's the little, everyday moments that mean so much.

February 4, 2019 - Monday - It was the end of the day and I realized I hadn't taken a photo today. Pancake is always nearby. If she's not in my lap she's taken to lying on top of the couch pillows up high to get a better view I suppose. She keeps a close eye on me.

February 3, 2019 - Sunday - Went out to the country to watch the Super Bowl. Not that I care much about either team. I hung out with my dad and brother all afternoon and then rode my brother's stationary bike for a while. Trying to work off what I knew I would be eating later. My brother makes the best ribs!

February 2, 2019 - Saturday - Today was a great day! Spent the afternoon with family and then went to meet a friend for dinner. Along the way I ran into another old friend at Target that I haven't seen in several, several years. Then while we were at dinner another long lost friend came into the restaurant. I hope I have lots of days just like this Groundhog's Day.

February 1, 2019 - Friday - Something else on my desk that years back has been my photo of the day. I don't remember when but I've had this since Riley gave it to me for Christmas when she was around two. So I guess I've had this for about 20 years.
